How to build a prototype on Figma and test it on Maze?
This training session was created aiming at democratizing user research accross the UX Team by teaching UX Designers how to do research and UX Researchers how to create their own prototypes. That way the teams becomes more autonomous.
Introduction
With this quick training we aimed at giving more autonomy to the UX Team by teaching UX Researchers - with no design proficiency - to run their tests by building their own prototypes and teaching UX Designers - with no user research proficiency - how to test faster their teams designs.
The goal with this training was to decrease the dependency team collaborators had with other professionals with complementary skills. UXRs were in need of prototyping skills and UXDs in need of research skills.
Approach
Workshop training on Maze and Figma, divided into 2 different sessions going through all the steps: from creating the figma file to creating your account on Maze and setting up your test.
We also covered Maze's main features and quick tips to take better advantage of the tool.
I was responsible for covering the Maze steps while another colleague took care of Figma's.
Crucial Insights
This training sessions had an increbile outcome once the team got very excited about doing research.
Also, because of the great acceptance of research by other UX Professionals, this training lead to another one about How to research in a faster pace. [add link]
